Derek Jeter Irrelevant Again
Derek Jeter added to the Yankees season of failure by losing the MVP race to Twins Designated Hitter Justin Morneau. Jeter's loss is one of the most embarrassing in MVP race history. First of all, there is the coastal bias as Jeter plays for the media darling NY Yankees and Morneau plays for the almost contracted Minnesota Twins. Not only is Moenuau a designated hitter offering his team nothing defensively, but he is Canadien as well. Derek Jeter and the Yankees are said to be shocked and embarrassed. Alex Rodriguez was seen laughing and was heard saying under his breath "see, I am not the only lose on the Yankees."

Okay, first of all you are just trying to taunt Yankee fans like me. Second of all, you have to admit that Morneau winning makes no sense AT ALL.
If you take the logic that Home Runs and RBIs are more important than Hits, batting average and, oh yeah playing defense then Daivd Ortiz should be the MVP.
This is messed up.
Few things are certain in life. Death, Taxes, and a Yankee fan whining about something. Derek Jeter did not deserve to win the MVP award. In fact, it is ridiculous to suggest any Yankee should win the MVP. The team would have won the same amount of games regardless of who was playing. They lost Hideki, Yawn. They lost Sheff, Yawn. One guy put Jeter down 6th on his ballot. That guy had it right. Look, in NY alone Jeter was the 6th most valuable player behind Wright, Reyes, Beltran, Delgado, and ARod. How can a guy who is the 6th most valuable player in his own city be the most valuable player in the AL?
It is all about what is important and contact hitters are not valued to the writers.
I am not bitching about Jeter not winning, I am saying that if power hitters are more "valuable" then Ortiz deserved to win. Here is what I think:

Why is it that all other fans think Yankees fans are "always bitching about something". Piss off. Try winning a World Series more frequently than once every 20 years and then come talk to me.
